Sabouroku

For Sabouroku, a collaboration between Mika Fan and Kyoko Miyazaki featuring Japanese and Taiwanese high tea, we developed the visual identity, including menu and poster design, and directed the photography. The name "Sabouroku," combining Japanese notes and tea, inspired a design that evokes white paper for jotting down thoughts. We used a clean white background with vertically arranged English text to suggest Japanese vertical writing. The menu design features hand-drawn illustrations and a tea tasting chart in a handwritten style, adding a personal touch reminiscent of jotting down notes.
