Mo Zho / Alicia Feng / Tsunagu Project

The name "Chiaki" derives from 'Ichijitu-senshu,' a phrase evoking the feeling of waiting for a day as if years have passed. This profound concept, paired with the desire to become a cherished restaurant that patrons eagerly anticipate, is artfully represented in the logo. The expanding space between the letters in "Chiaki" captures the essence of longing. The symbol logo features a mizuhiki motif, a traditional Japanese craft where a single string is intricately woven into floral designs, typically for celebratory occasions. This motif symbolizes the owner’s vision of forging meaningful connections with the local community, much like a single string being woven into a beautiful flower. Inspired by the warm hues of autumn, our color palette reflects the phrase "a day and a thousand autumns," illustrating the shop's unique transition from a café by day to a restaurant by night. Thus, the colors seamlessly shift between the warmth of day and the serenity of night.
